Maccabi Haifa Signs Dixon Mohammed, Brother of Ali, on Long-Term Deal

Dixon Mohammed, the younger brother of Maccabi Haifa midfielder Ali Mohammed, is set to officially join the club in the coming days upon turning 18. He will sign a long-term contract with the "Greens" and is expected to be loaned to Hapoel Kfar Saba of the Liga Leumit (the second tier of Israeli football) for the remainder of the season as part of a collaboration between the two clubs. The deal is reportedly close to being finalized.

Dixon, who is 13 years younger than his brother Ali, has been training with Maccabi Haifa's senior squad under coach Barak Bakhar and has been monitored by the club for an extended period. Initial contact with Dixon was made in July 2024, with Ali having previously served as his guardian. Dixon is described as a versatile midfielder, capable of playing as a number 6 or 8, and has also been tested as a left winger.

Club officials noted that Dixon's style of play is "very similar to Ali Mohammed's," highlighting his physicality and ability to initiate quick attacks from the midfield. Last season, he trained with the youth team, which had a successful UEFA Youth League campaign, though he did not participate in matches.
