Motorcyclist Dies in Highway 1 Accident Near Samaria Junction

A man in his 30s was killed overnight Thursday in a motorcycle accident on Highway 1, near the Samaria Junction. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene to find the motorcyclist lying beside the road with severe injuries. They performed extensive resuscitation efforts but were ultimately forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.

"We saw the injured man lying beside the road, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, with very severe injuries to his body, a great distance from his motorcycle," said senior MDA paramedic Eli Bernstein and MDA paramedic Arie Weiss. "We provided him with advanced medical treatment that included prolonged resuscitation efforts, at the end of which we had no choice but to pronounce him dead at the scene."

Police from the Ma'ale Adumim station and traffic accident investigators from the Judea and Samaria district arrived to investigate the circumstances of the incident. The article notes that traffic accidents are on a constant rise, citing an incident from the previous day where eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Netivot. MDA teams treated and evacuated those injured to Soroka Hospital, including four in moderate condition and four in mild condition.
