Motorcyclist Dies in Crash Near Megiddo Junction on Highway 65
On the evening of August 26, 2026, a motorcycle rider in his 60s was fatally struck by a vehicle near the Megiddo Junction on Highway 65. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams arrived to find the man unresponsive and without vital signs. Senior paramedic Mohammad Fokra and paramedic Amal Khatib reported that the rider was found lying far from his motorcycle, suffering severe injuries. Despite medical efforts, his death was confirmed at the scene.
In addition to this fatal accident, two other serious traffic incidents occurred overnight. On Highway 675, a collision between a truck and a private car left two men in their 30s seriously injured; both were hospitalized. Another accident took place in Tel Aviv on Menachem Begin Road, where a 25-year-old electric scooter rider was hit by a truck. Paramedic Shimon Kalpner described the scooter rider as conscious but with a severe head injury. He received life-saving treatment and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
