IDF Kills Two Palestinians During Search for Stolen Sheep
Two Palestinians were killed and another critically injured by Israeli security forces fire in the village of al-Mughayyir, near Ramallah, on Wednesday evening. The deceased were identified as Omar Muhammad al-Nassan and Khalil Rassem Abu Aliya, both aged 17 to 20.
The incident began around 6 p.m. when a large contingent of Israeli soldiers and Border Police officers entered the village following reports of clashes between dozens of Israelis and Palestinians. According to Israeli accounts, Palestinians had stolen sheep, and the Israelis entered the area to search for the flock. During this initial confrontation, stones were thrown at the Israelis, and a vehicle they were using sustained damage, though no Israelis were physically harmed.
Later in the evening, as security forces were searching for the stolen sheep, they opened fire on Palestinian youths. Soldiers claimed they felt their lives were in danger after the youths threw large concrete blocks at them.
The Israeli military is currently investigating the incident.
