Ma'ale Gilboa Yeshiva Appoints New Director After 26 Years

Moti Toran is concluding his 26-year tenure as director of the Ma'ale Gilboa Yeshiva, a period during which he was instrumental in its growth. He is retiring from the position.

Toran managed the organizational and administrative aspects of the yeshiva, which is part of the Kibbutz HaDati movement. He was also noted for his personal attention to students and staff and his involvement in daily operations. The yeshiva is entering its 34th academic year with this leadership change.

Taking over as director is Mishael Nuri'eli, a resident of Kibbutz Merav and a long-time supporter of the institution. Nuri'eli is familiar with the yeshiva and will now oversee its management and leadership.

Rabbi David Bigman, president of the yeshiva, expressed deep gratitude to Toran for his dedication, responsibility, and love for the yeshiva and its people over 26 years. He welcomed Nuri'eli, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the yeshiva wisely and with devotion.

The transition coincides with the start of the Elul semester, with approximately 120 students beginning their studies. This includes new students in their first year, continuing students in their second year, and army veterans. Additionally, Rabbi Elnatan Bezak, a graduate of the yeshiva, has joined the educational staff as a lecturer for first-year students.
