US Probes Iranian Revolutionary Guard Infiltration into Lebanon Using Hezbollah Dead Passports

The United States is investigating suspicious movements of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members entering and exiting Lebanon, according to a U.S. source cited by Al-Arabiya. The probe focuses on IRGC operatives using forged Lebanese passports, allegedly created with the identities of deceased Lebanese citizens, including Hezbollah militants.

American intelligence has identified a pattern where the personal details and identity documents of deceased Lebanese civilians are misused to issue fake passports and IDs for IRGC operatives. This allows them to travel into Lebanon undetected.

Serious suspicions have arisen regarding the involvement, direct or indirect, of elements within Lebanon's General Security Directorate in the production of these fraudulent documents. U.S. investigators are examining the passage of Iranian nationals through Beirut's international airport and land border crossings under these false identities.

Further complicating the investigation are significant discrepancies found in the official registry of Hezbollah casualties. It is believed these gaps were intentionally created to obscure the IRGC operatives' presence and facilitate their integration into Lebanon under the guise of deceased local activists.
