Pub Customers Stunned by What They Saw in the Hair Salon Window Across the Street
Patrons sitting down for a beer at a popular local pub in the town of Wetherby in West Yorkshire, England, expected another ordinary evening of alcohol and small talk. But a short time later, everyone’s attention shifted to the display window of a nearby hair salon and beauty clinic called “Blow.” Through the large glass front, an entirely unusual scene was reflected, leaving passersby and pub-goers speechless. Inside the business, which was closed at the time, a man and a woman were seen having sex in full view, with no apparent attempt to hide from the public eye. The front window gave the stunned patrons a clear, unobstructed view of what was happening.
One eyewitness, 41-year-old Gavin Proctor, wasted no time pulling out his mobile phone to record the unusual incident that took place on June 5. In the video, which has since gone viral and has amassed more than 1.7 million views on social media, the surprised reactions of passersby can be heard in the background. While the couple inside the salon continued undisturbed, the crowd outside did not remain indifferent. One person was heard shouting excitedly amid friends’ laughter, “He’s going all out! Look at this.” Others reacted with expletives of shock and rolling laughter at the intimate scene unfolding before them.
The viral video quickly reached the management of the beauty salon as well. After realizing that their business had become the center of the incident, the owners hurried to issue an official statement in an effort to limit the damage. In the statement they released, they said they were aware of the video circulating online and that one of their staff members was involved. “The incident occurred outside business hours and does not reflect the professional standards and values we uphold at our salon,” the owners stressed. “We understand that some customers may have concerns, and we would like to reassure everyone and update them that the matter has been dealt with internally.” They later added that, since this concerns private individuals, they would not provide any further comment.
