Maccabi Haifa Targets Pedro Brazão Amid Past Interest From Top European Clubs
Israeli football club Maccabi Haifa is reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old winger Pedro Brazão from Turkish second-division side Bodrum FK. Brazão, a Portuguese player, recently joined Bodrum, which also signed Cameroonian national team striker Vincent Aboubakar. While Brazão's current club is in the second tier of Turkish football, his past profile suggests he was once considered a highly promising talent.
According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Turkish club Beşiktaş had previously inquired about Brazão's availability and transfer costs from Bodrum. The same Turkish media reported that Hamburg and Strasbourg were also in contention for the player.
Further reports from the Daily Mirror indicate that Liverpool contacted Brazão's agent in 2020. At that time, when Brazão was 17, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Sporting CP were also pursuing him.
