Shlomo Artzi Celebrates Shalom Hanoch's 80th Birthday With Heartfelt Message

Singer Shlomo Artzi sent a warm birthday message to his close friend and fellow musician Shalom Hanoch, who celebrated his 80th birthday. Artzi, himself a towering figure in Israeli music, recalled their shared stage partnership in the 2005-2006 "Hit'ḥabrut" (Connection) show, expressing his deep affection and wishing Hanoch continued creativity and good health.

Shlomo Artzi, a highly successful and influential artist in Israel, began his career at 16 and rose to prominence after winning the 1970 Song Festival with "Pit'om Shev, Pit'om Hayom." After a more challenging period in the 1970s, his artistic career transformed in 1979 with the album "D'rakhim." Subsequent albums like "Chatzot," "Chom July August," "Yare'aḥ," and "Shnayim" achieved hundreds of thousands of sales, and his performances at the Caesarea Amphitheater became a cultural landmark.

Artzi has received numerous accolades, including the ACUM award, a lifetime achievement award from AMI, and lit a torch on Israel's 70th Independence Day.
