Explosions Heard in Jordan Amid Iranian Missile Strikes
Explosions were reportedly heard across Jordan on Tuesday, following missile launches from Iran as part of a renewed regional escalation. The incident occurred after Tehran resumed firing at targets identified with the United States in the region, in response to American military actions against Iranian targets. Reports from the past day indicate that Iran launched missiles toward American sites stationed in Jordan, while air defense systems in the area were activated to intercept the threats. According to earlier reports, the Jordanian military successfully intercepted eight missiles fired toward the country's territory. Concurrently, explosions were reported in southern Jordan, including near Aqaba, attributed to the launches and the subsequent aerial activity to counter them. Residents of Eilat, Israel, also reported hearing the sounds of explosions.
