Lebanese Parliament Speaker: Talks Failed, Conflict Widened Amid Israeli Operations
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stated that seven rounds of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel have failed to de-escalate tensions, asserting instead that the area under Israeli control has expanded while military operations continue. This situation poses significant challenges to the future of the talks and raises fears of a collapse in any ongoing negotiation process.
Berri explained that the objective of the negotiations was to secure a ceasefire and an Israeli withdrawal from disputed areas.
