Secular Driver Hits Toddler in Bnei Brak After Confrontation

A secular driver entered the "Sofrim Complex" neighborhood in Bnei Brak on Shabbat and became involved in a confrontation with residents. Witnesses reported that after the argument escalated and young men attempted to remove him, the driver began to drive recklessly towards a crowded area near a synagogue where dozens of worshippers and children were present.

During the dangerous drive, the car struck a toddler, approximately three years old, who was walking near the sidewalk. Fortunately, the incident resulted in only minor injuries, narrowly avoiding a severe tragedy. Footage released by journalist Tuvia Yaglaniq shows the car speeding and hitting the child.

A local resident described the frightening moments, stating, "We were on the street and saw the driver shouting and confronting several guys who were trying to get him back into his car so he would leave. Seconds later, he sped off and turned towards the group of worshippers. Suddenly, we heard a terrible scream, and there was great fear of a mass casualty incident."

The resident added that the incident was serious and dangerous, involving a driver who was not from the area and allegedly entered the neighborhood with the intention of provoking a disturbance, nearly causing a disaster for dozens of worshippers.
