Jerusalem Mayor Condemns Vandalism at School, Vows Zero Tolerance for Violence

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion has strongly condemned acts of vandalism and violence that occurred near a local school, stating that such behavior will not be tolerated in the city. "As mayor, I condemn and denounce any attack, illegal demonstration, and certainly violence. I will not let this happen in the city!" Lion declared. The mayor expressed his pain over the incident and confirmed he had contacted the Jerusalem District Police commander, requesting police presence, which was subsequently deployed. Jerusalem Municipality workers worked through the night to repair the damage caused to the school premises. Lion emphasized that Jerusalem is a city where people live side-by-side, not at the expense of others, and that violence will not be allowed to gain a foothold. "The Argentina Experimental School is part of Jerusalem, and we are here this morning to open the school year and assure the students and educational staff that they can learn and operate here safely," he added. The school year commenced as scheduled on Monday morning, following the overnight repairs. Earlier, the mayor spoke with the school's management, staff, and students, wishing them a successful, safe, and productive academic year.
