Yair Golan Releases New Footage of Oct. 7 Rescue Efforts Amid Conspiracy Claims

New footage has emerged showing Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats party, assisting in the evacuation of injured individuals from the Nova music festival on October 7th. This comes amid a conspiracy theory amplified by Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who suggested Golan had prior knowledge of the Hamas attack.

The exclusive video, captured by reporter Omri Maniv, shows Golan near Ofakim, helping evacuate survivors. Oz Davidian, who was present and also helped rescue civilians alongside Golan, refuted claims that Golan arrived earlier than stated. Davidian clarified that Golan arrived around 11:30 AM, not in the early morning hours as some have alleged, calling such claims "a lie."

Davidian also addressed manipulated images circulating online, explaining that attempts to edit him out of photos with Golan are intended to falsely suggest Golan met with Hamas operatives. He stated that the reflection seen in Golan's sunglasses in some images is actually his own truck and a survivor they were rescuing.

Sara Netanyahu had previously stated in an interview that Golan, a high-ranking former military official, was "dressed and ready" early on October 7th, before the Prime Minister was aware of the attack. This statement fueled the conspiracy theory.

In response to Netanyahu's remarks, Yair Golan has sent her a legal notice, demanding a public apology within 24 hours and compensation for Nova festival survivors. Golan stated that if she fails to comply, he will file a defamation lawsuit seeking at least 2.5 million shekels.
