Israeli Midfielder Tai Abed Joins Valladolid on Loan

Israeli midfielder Tai Abed has signed a contract with Spanish second-division club Real Valladolid. Abed, who belongs to Levante, will be loaned to Valladolid for the upcoming season with an option for an additional year. The deal includes a clause allowing Valladolid to extend Abed's stay for another season only if they are promoted to La Liga.

Abed has a release clause of 20 million euros from Levante. If Valladolid exercises its purchase option, Abed himself is entitled to 25% of any future transfer fee. Valladolid sees Abed as a player who can significantly contribute to the team this season, aiming to provide him with playing time to prove himself in Spanish football.

For Abed, this move represents an opportunity to regain form, advance professionally, and help his new team achieve its primary goal of promotion to La Liga. Last season, Abed made only 7 appearances for Levante in Spain's top league, playing a total of 110 minutes without scoring or assisting. He hopes to be a more impactful player this season.

Valladolid has started their season with only one point from three matches and is currently at the bottom of the second division standings.
