Likud MK Tally Gotliv Claims Netanyahu Aims to Oust Her

Member of Knesset Tally Gotliv stated on Tuesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his advisors are actively working to remove her from the Likud party, despite her unwavering loyalty. Gotliv asserted on social media platform X that she is "more loyal than anyone" to Netanyahu and the Likud party, but claimed the Prime Minister and his staff are acting to sideline her against the will of the voters.

Gotliv criticized the Likud's current campaign strategy, calling it "fundamentally flawed." She argued that Netanyahu's advisors are pushing for a "new branding" of the party instead of focusing on issues she was elected to address, such as curbing the power of the Supreme Court and challenging bureaucratic authority.

She further stated that Netanyahu "doesn't owe me anything," but reiterated that "the Prime Minister and his advisors are the ones acting to oust me from Likud, completely against the will of the voters." Gotliv believes her conservative stances led to her election by Likud members and has no intention of changing her approach, declaring, "The right-wing public in Likud knows, I do not bow my head and I am not afraid of anyone."

These remarks come amid escalating tensions between Gotliv and Netanyahu, with reports suggesting she is considering leaving Likud before the next elections. Earlier, Gotliv accused the Prime Minister of "stabbing me in the back" and did not rule out joining another party if offered a position. Reports indicate the dispute also concerns her placement on the Likud's electoral list and the party's campaign direction.
