Maccabi Tel Aviv to Discuss Contract With Roman Sorkin Amid Salary Dispute

Maccabi Tel Aviv concluded a brief training camp in Caesarea on Monday, aiming to accelerate preparations for the upcoming season. The team expects the return of Jaylen Hoard and Daniel Theis, who finished their national team commitments with France and Germany, respectively. Alongside Israeli national team players who returned from Latvia, a full roster, excluding injured players Gor Lavi and T.J. Leaf, should be available to coach Oded Katash by the end of the week.

The club is planning to speak with Roman Sorkin following his clear disappointment with the current contract negotiations. Sorkin, who has three years remaining on his contract, is reportedly unhappy with the proposed financial upgrade, especially in light of the higher salary of Yovel Zoosman, who was signed this summer. Maccabi Tel Aviv aims to align Sorkin's contract with his status as a leading center, and negotiations are expected to continue before the season begins.

In other team news, Maccabi announced that two exhibition games in Israel against Bnei Herzliya on Thursday at 4:00 PM and Maccabi Rishon LeZion next Tuesday at 1:00 PM will be streamed on the club's official media channels. However, these games will be closed to the public.
