Eisenkot Responds to Netanyahu's Wife, Denies Betrayal Conspiracy

Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the "Yashar!" party, has responded to insinuations by Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, suggesting that former IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan knew about the October 7th Hamas attack in advance. Eisenkot stated that "there are those who claim they 'were not woken up,' and there are those who rose and charged forward, without asking questions."

Eisenkot vehemently dismissed the notion of betrayal as a "crazy conspiracy theory with no factual basis." He argued that such claims are designed solely to fuel hatred and perpetuate the Netanyahu government's rule. According to Eisenkot, the Prime Minister's only method of governance is division.

Sara Netanyahu's remarks, which implied Golan's foreknowledge of the attack, have been widely criticized as baseless and politically motivated. Eisenkot's response aligns with a broader critique of the government's handling of security and its alleged use of divisive rhetoric.
