Gadi Eisenkot Slams Netanyahu as 'Disconnected and Fearful' Prime Minister

Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the "Yisrael" party, fiercely responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent remarks made during an interview on Channel 14's "HaPatriotim" program. Netanyahu had criticized Eisenkot's conduct during the ongoing war.

Eisenkot's party issued a statement calling Netanyahu a "disconnected and fearful prime minister" who offers "more and more ridiculous lies" against Eisenkot. This came after Netanyahu claimed in the interview that Eisenkot opposed completing the conquest of Rafah, supported a deal with Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and resisted actions in Syria and Iran. Netanyahu also stated that Eisenkot believed not all hostages could be returned, while he himself insisted on continued fighting.

Eisenkot vehemently denied these claims. He accused Netanyahu of avoiding the establishment of a state commission of inquiry because he is "terrified of the moment Israeli citizens discover the truth." Eisenkot asserted that he, in fact, pushed for the maneuver, the conquest of Rafah, and the strike in Iran. He further accused Netanyahu of "abandoning the North" and being afraid to act against Hezbollah on Israel's initiative.

Concluding his response, Eisenkot stated, "Netanyahu, the citizens of Israel deserve real leadership, and give them credit, they will choose it, because Israel must win, and it will win."
