Mickey Levy to Leave Yesh Atid Knesset List, Head Party Tribunal

Member of Knesset Mickey Levy announced on Monday that he will not be running on the Yesh Atid party list for the upcoming Knesset elections. The announcement followed a meeting with party leader Yair Lapid, during which it was agreed that Levy would serve as the head of the party's tribunal. Levy, a founding member of Yesh Atid since 2011, stated that he will remain active in the party and assist in the upcoming election campaign. He expressed satisfaction with his tenure and thanked Lapid for their shared journey.

Levy's departure comes amid a wave of resignations and growing tensions within the party as it prepares its list for the elections. He joins a number of other incumbent MKs from Yesh Atid who will not be serving in the next Knesset. These include Yaron Levy, who announced his departure in May but remained in the Knesset, and Boaz Toporovsky, who resigned from the Knesset. In July and August, Elazar Stern, Yoav Segalovitz, and Ron Katz also announced their departures from the party and resignations from the Knesset.

Mickey Levy has held several senior positions in the past, including Speaker of the Knesset and Deputy Minister of Finance, and was considered one of the long-standing figures in Lapid's faction. His decision to step down from the Knesset list marks the end of a significant chapter for him within the party's parliamentary representation.
