Mickey Levy to Leave Yesh Atid Knesset List, Take Party Tribunal Role

Member of Knesset Mickey Levy announced Tuesday evening that he will not be part of the Yesh Atid party list for the upcoming Knesset elections. The decision follows a meeting at his home with Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid. Following the discussion, Levy agreed to Lapid's offer to serve as the head of the party's tribunal.

Levy stated, "I am leaving Yair's home right now, after a personal and moving meeting between us. We agreed that I will not be on the Yesh Atid list for the next Knesset. Yair asked me to serve as the head of the party's tribunal, and I happily agreed."

Levy, who has served as a Knesset member for Yesh Atid since 2013 and previously served as Speaker of the Knesset, emphasized that his departure from the electoral list is amicable. "I have no anger and no bitterness," he wrote. "I feel mainly great gratitude and pride for the journey we have taken together."

Levy's announcement comes shortly after MK Meir Cohen also declared he would not be running on the party's list. These departures signal a significant shift in the composition of the veteran Yesh Atid faction as the party prepares for the next election cycle. Lapid is reportedly working to reshape the Yesh Atid list, integrating new talent alongside incumbent Knesset members.
