Maccabi Tel Aviv Secures Gabi Kancepolsky's Return for Four Years
Maccabi Tel Aviv announced on Monday the signing of midfielder Gabi Kancepolsky to a four-year contract, marking his return to the club. The deal reportedly cost Maccabi Tel Aviv €1 million to Ferencváros, with additional bonuses tied to qualification for the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
Kancepolsky, 28, will earn €450,000 per season, excluding potential bonuses. He previously played for Ferencváros, where he won three consecutive league titles and the Hungarian Cup in his first year. During his time in Hungary, he played alongside fellow Israeli player Moanes Dabour before Dabour transferred to Red Star Belgrade.
Kancepolsky is a product of Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth academy and initially returned to the senior team in the summer of 2021. He was instrumental in the club's two championship wins during his previous tenure. After his contract expired, he moved to Ferencváros on a free transfer.
