Man Rescued After Falling Into Six-Meter Well Near Kibbutz Yum
A 35-year-old man was rescued after falling approximately six meters into a well east of Kibbutz Yum. Firefighters and Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene near an abandoned structure. The man, who was conscious, sustained back injuries and exhaustion.
Firefighters initiated complex rescue operations while MDA paramedics descended into the well to provide immediate medical care. After being brought to the surface, the man received further treatment and was transported by intensive care ambulance to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, where he is listed in moderate condition.
MDA paramedics Lior Zilberberg and Mohammed Hazem described the rescue as taking place in a complex area. They stated that upon arrival, they communicated with the man, who was at the bottom of the well, and provided initial medical treatment before firefighters extracted him. The man was then taken to the hospital.
