Rapper Young Thug Faces Backlash for Mentioning Israel in New Song

American rapper Young Thug is facing criticism from some fans after mentioning Israel in his new song "Øway Remix" from the album "Slime Language 3." The rapper, known for his affinity for Israel and Judaism, included a line that referenced fans in the Middle East, which some interpreted as specifically including Israel.

Fans expressed shock and disappointment, with some suggesting he should return to prison, referencing his release less than two years prior. One commenter stated, "Maybe it's time to go back to the district court. I'm not going to lie, I'm one of your biggest fans but you're killing me, bro." Another user lamented, "This is the worst day of my life. You could have just said the Middle East and cut it there."

This is not the first time Young Thug has drawn attention for his connection to Israel. In late 2025, he met with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto and received his blessing, a video of which went viral. Some fans believe his affection for Judaism and Israel has led him astray.

Young Thug previously referenced Israel in his 2021 song "That Go!" with Meek Mill and T-Shyne, where he mentioned a "girl from Israel" during a party in Dubai. He has also used references to Judaism in his lyrics, such as "counting money like a Jew," to signify wealth.
