New Song Captures Yearning for Jerusalem Ahead of Rosh Hashanah

A new rendition of the song "Lishpoch Libi K'mayim" (To Pour Out My Heart Like Water) has been released, featuring singers Eliya Ben Nissan, Menachem Aaron, and Nachman Israel Sarbagola alongside the band "Uru Shochenei Afar" (Awake, Dwellers of Dust). The song, set to a melody by Rabbi Yosef Hecht and lyrics by Rabbi Natan, expresses a deep longing for Jerusalem and the tradition of gathering there for Rosh Hashanah.

The lyrics convey a fervent desire to be in Jerusalem, to "pour out my heart like water before His face," and to pray for complete redemption and the coming of the Messiah, with all of Israel gathered in the Holy Temple. The song's central theme revolves around this intense yearning for the holy city.

The musical arrangement includes contributions from various artists. Benjamin Tzafri, Natanel Chamo, and Yehuda Yaron provided backing vocals. Ron Chanya played guitar, Tor Rafael Ferminger handled percussion, and Hillel Charir played the clarinet. Natanel Chamo was responsible for production, arrangement, recording, and bass, while Yniv Blass managed the mix and mastering. The cover art and animation were created by Nisah Publications and Elinatan Arikha. Percussion instruments were recorded at Amit Chanya's studio.
