New Song Captures Spiritual Journey to Uman for Rosh Hashanah

Singer Shmulik Klein, alongside Mendi Sofer, has released a new single and music video titled 'The Soul Fixer' ahead of Rosh Hashanah and the large gathering in Uman, Ukraine, at the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. The project, born from deep longing and mixed emotions, offers a musical experience combining the yearning for Uman with a message of hope and rectification.

Mendi Sofer composed and wrote the song, using words from the letters of Rabbi Nachman. The musical arrangement and production are by Eli Klein and Itzik Br, with Noam Burg contributing guitars and ethnic instruments. Klein explained that due to complex reasons, he had to cancel his planned trip to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, prompting him to express his feelings through music. He approached Sofer, and within a day, they were recording with Eli Klein and Itzik Br.

The accompanying music video features live footage of Jewish pilgrims on their journey to Uman, produced by Stage Art. The visuals capture the unique atmosphere of the spiritual pilgrimage to Rabbi Nachman's grave, reflecting the deep emotions of the thousands who travel there annually.

The central message of 'The Soul Fixer' focuses on rectification and repentance, highlighting the special power of Rosh Hashanah in Uman and the faith in Rabbi Nachman's ability to mend souls.
