Netanyahu Defends Wife Sara Amid Public Criticism

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly defended his wife, Sara, against recent public criticism. Speaking in an exclusive interview with C14 following their attendance at a concert by Israeli singer Eden Ben Zaken, Netanyahu addressed the controversy surrounding their appearance.

He specifically referenced an incident where left-wing activists surrounded a hair salon in Tel Aviv where Sara Netanyahu was present during a "National Disruption Day" protest. "She is my support and the support of our family," the Prime Minister stated, emphasizing her strength and resilience.

Netanyahu also commented on the criticism directed at them for attending the concert, noting that they were told they shouldn't attend such events. Despite the controversy, he expressed enjoyment of the performance, calling it "explosive" and praising Ben Zaken's talent. Sara Netanyahu added that they were disappointed to have to leave the concert early due to security concerns.

Recalling the hair salon incident from March 2023, where Sara Netanyahu was surrounded for several hours before being escorted out by police, the Prime Minister suggested that such actions intensify as elections approach. He characterized the protesters as "resentful employees" spreading "false accusations."

Sara Netanyahu described the events as "inventions and lies." The Prime Minister concluded by stating that many Israeli citizens recognize his wife's strength, which he finds very encouraging.
