Former Adviser Defends Sara Netanyahu, Denies Claims of Harsh Treatment of Staff

Nir Hefetz, former communications adviser and cabinet secretary, publicly defended Sara Netanyahu against longstanding allegations regarding her treatment of staff at the Prime Minister's residence and her influence over her husband, Benjamin Netanyahu. Speaking on the "Dibburim Kmo Chol" radio program on Galei Yisrael, Hefetz recounted his extensive experience working closely with the Netanyahu couple from 2009 to 2018, with a two-year break, totaling thousands of hours in their presence.

Hefetz categorically denied ever witnessing Sara Netanyahu raise her voice, yell, or humiliate any employee, directly contradicting previous reports that described the work environment as nearly akin to slavery. He also addressed rumors about her controlling role in the Prime Minister's decisions, dismissing claims that Benjamin Netanyahu fears her. Instead, Hefetz described their relationship as one of "true love and partnership," emphasizing the genuine affection between them.

His statements offer a contrasting perspective to the negative portrayals often seen in the media, highlighting his personal observations during nearly a decade of close professional proximity to the couple.
