Hapoel Beer Sheva Signs Defender Idan Nachmias on Three-Year Deal
Hapoel Beer Sheva, the reigning Israeli league champions, announced the signing of central defender Idan Nachmias on a three-year contract. The 29-year-old joins the club after one season with Bulgarian side Ludogorets.
Nachmias, who previously played for Ironi Kiryat Shmona and Maccabi Tel Aviv, is eligible to play for Hapoel Beer Sheva in the Europa League, as his registration was completed before the deadline. He was a key player for Maccabi Tel Aviv, contributing to two league championships and earning 18 caps for the Israeli national team.
In his recent season with Ludogorets, Nachmias made 27 appearances across all competitions, including two matches against Ferencváros in the knockout stages. He became a regular starter towards the end of the season, helping the team secure third place in the Bulgarian league.
Nachmias will reportedly earn 250,000 euros per season. He expressed his excitement about starting a new chapter with the champions and looks forward to playing at Turner Stadium in front of the home crowd. He joins a defensive lineup that includes Itay Rotman, Miguel Vítor, and Djibril Diop.
