Israeli Police Conduct Major Emergency Drill in Central District
Israeli Police in the Central District conducted a large-scale emergency drill on Tuesday morning, simulating various terror attack scenarios. The exercise, which took place between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM, was overseen directly by District Commander Major General Amir Cohen.
The drill is part of the Israel Police's routine training regimen, aimed at enhancing the operational readiness and preparedness of forces for emergencies, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming school year. Officers practiced command and control procedures, synchronization between emergency and rescue services, and population management according to the simulated scenarios.
During the drill, the public was advised that increased police vehicle activity would be noticeable throughout the Central District and urged to follow officers' instructions. Police reminded citizens to report any unusual incidents immediately to emergency services by calling 100.
This exercise follows a similar large-scale security drill conducted in the Lachish region in preparation for the new school year.
