Yossi Benayoun's Post-Football Career Path Remains Uncertain
Former Liverpool and Israeli national team star Yossi Benayoun has been out of professional football for approximately two and a half years since concluding his role as the professional manager of Israel's national teams in March 2024. Benayoun, considered one of Israel's greatest footballers, has occasionally appeared in veteran matches for Liverpool and was briefly linked to a professional manager position at Arsenal, but has yet to commit to a new role.
Details about his current situation were shared by his relative, Ziv Sternberg, on the "5 Ba'avir - Ha'hedshot" sports program. Sternberg stated that Benayoun is in good health and has received offers from both Israel and abroad. However, Benayoun is prioritizing his family's well-being and is not rushing into any decisions, intending to choose a path that is best for him.
Benayoun is currently aiming for a professional management role, rather than coaching, especially in Israel. Sternberg indicated that Benayoun represents himself professionally and is capable of managing others' careers as well.
