Maccabi Tel Aviv Begins Training Camp with New Player Tryout

Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball club commenced a short training camp in Caesarea on Saturday, aiming for rapid team cohesion. The team is scheduled to play exhibition games against Bnei Herzliya on Friday, followed by a match against Maccabi Rishon LeZion, before heading to a preparatory tournament in Cyprus.

American guard T.J. Clark, brother of Jimmy Clark, has joined the team's practices. T.J. Clark previously attempted to break into the NBA, played in the G League, and competed in Mexico. He recently sought eligibility to return to college basketball but is not expected to be signed by Maccabi unless he makes a significant impression.

Daniel Theis of Germany and Jalen Hurd of France are expected to join the team in Israel in the coming days, with Maccabi hoping they will be available before the end of this week. Danish point guard Jonas Jerebko, who arrived in Israel on Saturday, may see playing time in the first exhibition game against Bnei Herzliya, while Theis and Hurd are anticipated to receive initial rest.
