Protesters Surround Military Police Vehicle in Bnei Brak

A military police vehicle encountered significant disruption in Bnei Brak on Sunday when dozens of residents and protesters surrounded it, blocking its path and engaging in confrontations. The incident occurred when the vehicle entered a neighborhood in the Haredi city. Residents and passersby quickly gathered around the vehicle, protesting the recent arrests of Torah scholars and yeshiva students.

Video footage from the scene shows the white military police car nearly encircled by residents, including men and children. Protesters stood close to the vehicle, with some sitting on the road directly in front of it to prevent movement. Loud calls of protest were heard, while onlookers gathered on nearby sidewalks.

Additional aerial footage depicted the intersection of streets blocked by the gathering, with dozens of protesters filling the crosswalk and road. Civilian vehicles and transport were stopped due to the crowd, alongside initial police forces and motorcyclists who arrived at the scene.

In response to reports of the blocked vehicle and ensuing confrontations, additional police forces from the Bnei Brak station and the Dan region were dispatched. Officers worked to disperse the crowd, clear the road, and create a buffer to allow the military vehicle to leave. After a period of tension, the police successfully cleared the protesters, and the military police vehicle departed safely under police escort.
