Matan Hassan Releases New Prayer Song 'Chatanu Lefanecha' for Selichot Days

Matan Hassan, also known as M' Hamistarev, has released a new song titled "Chatanu Lefanecha" in honor of the Selichot days, which are part of the Jewish period of repentance leading up to the High Holidays. The song, launched on Saturday night, combines familiar prayer phrases with original lyrics focusing on themes of teshuvah (repentance), prayer, and seeking forgiveness. Hassan's new release follows his debut performance at the Caesarea Amphitheater and precedes his upcoming participation in the "Meirim" Selichot event at the Sultan's Pool next week.

The lyrics reflect the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Elul, incorporating references to prayer at the Western Wall, Torah study, faith, and the plea for mercy and forgiveness. The song was produced by Omri Dehan and Eliran Eliyahu, blending traditional and contemporary elements to resonate with listeners during this solemn time.
