Ajax Open to Selling Oscar Gloukh Amid Poor Form and New Signing

Oscar Gloukh, who started the season impressively by scoring four goals in Ajax's first two official matches in the Conference League qualifiers against Vojvodina, has since struggled to secure regular playing time. Despite his early impact, he has been mostly benched and has found it difficult to influence games when given minutes. Ajax recently signed Julian Brandt, who plays in the same position as Gloukh, raising further doubts about Gloukh's role in the team.

Journalist Mike Verweij from 'Telesport' reported that Ajax is open to selling Gloukh, who joined the club in summer 2023 for €14.75 million. Verweij noted, "If Ajax receives a good offer for Oscar Gloukh, they would be willing to sell him. The issue is that it’s not really relevant because he is not playing well." Gloukh came on as a substitute in the 60th minute during Ajax's 5-3 win over Sivasspor in the Conference League playoff, and in the first leg, he started but was replaced by Abdullah Ozan, a young academy player competing for the same spot.

Before the season, Gloukh expressed his determination to become a regular starter, stating, "I must become a regular starter - that is my top priority. I am a player who always wants the ball, even when the opponent is on my back. I never hide. If I earn the trust, everything will be fine. I am optimistic about that." In his debut season with Ajax, Gloukh made 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.
