IDF Conducts Targeted Airstrike Killing Hamas Operative in Jenin Refugee Camp
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a precise aerial strike in Jenin, located in the West Bank's Menashe Brigade area, targeting several militants. The operation took place on Friday and was confirmed by both the IDF and the Shin Bet security service. The strike eliminated three militants who were inside a vehicle, where weapons were also found.
Among those killed was Qais Bitawi, a key Hamas operative responsible for orchestrating terrorist activities in the Jenin refugee camp, which was previously cleared during Operation Iron Wall. Bitawi was involved in planning, financing, and executing attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces. He also maintained connections with Hamas operatives in Gaza and abroad.
Qais Bitawi was related to Nour Bitawi, a former terror organization commander in Jenin who was killed by Israeli forces in May 2025. The IDF emphasized the targeted nature of the strike, aiming to disrupt ongoing terrorist activities in the region.
