Israeli Border Police Arrest Nine Illegal Palestinian Residents in South Tel Aviv Safehouse

Israeli Border Police in central command arrested nine Palestinians without legal residency permits in a South Tel Aviv apartment following suspicious shouting and stone-throwing from a building window. The incident occurred during routine security patrols when officers heard loud cries echoing from a building on the street. A distressed civilian reported stones being thrown at her and passersby from the building, directing police to the exact entrance.

Upon entering and searching the apartment, officers found two suspects at the door and uncovered seven more hiding inside. All nine were confirmed to be residing illegally in Israel and were taken to the Sar-Tet police station in Tel Aviv for further investigation regarding their unauthorized stay.

This arrest is part of an ongoing Israeli police crackdown on illegal residency and related offenses such as employment and transportation of unauthorized individuals. Recently, 21 illegal residents were detained in Jerusalem during coordinated operations, some hidden in a double wall of a commercial vehicle. Concurrently, at the Ofer checkpoint, 11 residents of Judea and Samaria were found concealed behind a pile of tires in a commercial vehicle’s double wall.

The Border Police emphasize that enforcement efforts continue nationwide to locate and detain illegal residents, aiming to maintain public security and uphold the law across Israel.
