Michal Franco Shares Journey of Eight Years to Triplets and Hope for Couples Facing Infertility

Michal Franco and her husband Ariel waited eight years to have a child. After the birth of their first son, Michal became pregnant with triplets. Despite medical advice to consider embryo reduction due to the pregnancy's risks, they chose to continue with the pregnancy under rabbinical and medical guidance. Miraculously, all three babies were born healthy at 36 weeks, each weighing over two kilograms, and none required neonatal intensive care.

Michal married at 19 and a half, initially expecting to start a family naturally. After more than two years without pregnancy, they began medical evaluations prompted by Ariel's sister, a nurse at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. The couple endured a long process of tests, treatments, and emotional challenges, supported by family and the Po'ah Institute, which provided spiritual, emotional, and halachic support. Michal emphasizes that infertility is a shared journey for couples, regardless of which partner faces medical issues.

Throughout her ordeal, Michal found strength in prayer and faith, often recalling the phrase, "We do not choose our trials, but we choose how to walk through them." After the triplets, the couple had two more children. Michal has since created a show called "Steps of Hope," blending her personal story with original songs and messages of faith to inspire others facing similar struggles.

She describes the journey as one of pain, hope, and resilience, highlighting that hope is not just an emotion but a way of life. As the month of Elul approaches, Michal shares a message encouraging people to keep hoping and believing in eventual salvation, quoting the verse, "Hope in the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage."
