Ramat Gan Municipality Launches Tender for 800 sqm Land in Bursa Complex

The Ramat Gan Municipality has announced a new tender for an 800 square meter plot of land in the Bursa complex, located on HaYozma Street. The site, currently a municipal parking lot near the Menora Tower and opposite the EXCHANGE Towers, is designated for a nine-story commercial building. The minimum bid price is set at 32 million shekels. Officials from the Planning Administration noted this is the first time in years that the municipality is selling land in this area.

This sale is part of Ramat Gan's broader plan to revitalize the Bursa complex, following a master plan approved in 2022. The tender aims to promote further development, strengthen business and employment activities, and create a planning continuity between Menora Tower and Moshe Aviv Tower. Proposals for the tender are due by September 16. Mayor Carmel Shama HaCohen emphasized the strategic location of the plot, highlighting its centrality to public transportation and the opportunity it presents for developers to contribute to the area's growth.

Separately, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) filed a petition to the Supreme Court against the Metropolitan Leisure Area plan in the Shfela region, which was approved in June. The plan covers 5,400 dunams between Rishon Lezion and Ness Ziona and allows construction adjacent to urban areas while keeping other parts open. SPNI argues the plan undermines its stated goals by enabling development that restricts public access to open spaces, due to private land ownership and lack of legal provisions to ensure access. The organization claims its concerns were dismissed during the planning process.
