Tel Aviv Police Foil Illegal Arms Transfer Amid Musli-Jerushi Crime Conflict

The Tel Aviv District Police recently arrested three suspects involved in the illegal trade and possession of weapons intended for use in the ongoing conflict between the Musli and Jerushi crime organizations. The operation uncovered four Israeli military-grade stun grenades, two Beretta pistols, magazines, and ammunition. The suspects, aged between their 20s and 30s, were detained following targeted investigations and vehicle and home searches conducted in early to mid-August.

On August 4, police stopped a vehicle near the Nitzanei Oz interchange on Highway 6, where two stun grenades were found in the trunk. The driver, a 35-year-old resident of Bat Yam, was arrested and his detention extended by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. On August 16, a search of a second suspect's home in Tel Aviv yielded two additional stun grenades, two 9mm Beretta pistols, magazines, and bullets. This suspect was also arrested and detained.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a third suspect from northern Israel on August 19, believed to have supplied the weapons to the other two. Evidence collected during the probe indicates the weapons were intended for criminal use amid the violent rivalry between the Musli and Jerushi groups. The Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office has filed indictments against all three suspects, with formal charges expected to be submitted shortly.
