Israeli Premier League Club Negotiates with Michael Ohana for New Season
Michael Ohana, who played for Maccabi Haifa last season, is in talks with Hapoel Petah Tikva to join the club for the upcoming Israeli Premier League season. After ending his tenure with Maccabi Haifa this summer, Ohana has been searching for a new team and has reportedly declined an offer from Bnei Sakhnin. Currently a free agent, negotiations with Hapoel Petah Tikva are ongoing for a contract for the current season.
Last season, Ohana made 20 appearances for Maccabi Haifa, scoring three goals and providing four assists. Although he started the season outside the main squad, he became an important player under coach Barak Bachar by the end of the campaign. Ohana began his professional career at M.S. Ashdod and later played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Beitar Jerusalem, and Maccabi Netanya before returning to Ashdod in 2023. He then moved to Hapoel Tiberias before joining Maccabi Haifa.
If the deal with Hapoel Petah Tikva is finalized, it will mark the next chapter in Ohana's career within Israeli football.
