Kiryat Gat Wins Southern District Award for Land Enforcement Excellence

The Kiryat Gat Local Planning and Building Committee has been recognized as the outstanding authority in the Southern District for land enforcement in 2025. The award was presented yesterday, September 2nd, during a ceremony held as part of a professional appreciation and learning day. The event was attended by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Kiryat Gat Mayor Kfir Suissa.

Kiryat Gat's selection was based on a series of professional metrics evaluating the quality of its local enforcement system. Key criteria included internal work mechanisms and cooperation, adherence to legal requirements such as maintaining an updated survey of building violations, developing an annual work plan based on this survey, approving official enforcement policies, and consistently submitting reports to the national authority.

The scope of administrative and criminal enforcement relative to the municipality's size was also assessed. The appreciation day aims to foster excellence, mutual learning, and enhanced coordination between the national land enforcement authority and local committees nationwide.
