Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the cabinet that, from Israel’s perspective, there is still no ceasefire agreement with Lebanon and that Hezbollah opposes it. He said Israel prefers to continue diplomatic efforts, while the IDF said it is prepared to expand the fighting if needed. Separately, the U.S. State Department said Israel and Lebanon had agreed on implementing a ceasefire under certain conditions.
