Hundreds attended the funeral in Haifa of Staff Sgt. Alexander Filin, 29, who was killed Wednesday by an explosive device in southern Lebanon. Family, friends and commanders remembered the Ukrainian immigrant as a devoted father, talented sniper and modest soldier. The IDF said the blast happened during a foot operation near the Litani River and that nearby terror infrastructure was later shelled.
