Iranian Official Demands US End Regional Conflicts Including Lebanon and Gaza
Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, accused the United States of causing instability in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman. He warned that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed unless the US changes its behavior and accepts Iran's conditions. Rezaee emphasized that Washington must end its wars and release frozen Iranian funds. He also stated that the US should cease hostilities throughout the region, including in Lebanon and Gaza, and adhere to other conditions communicated through intermediaries. Additionally, Rezaee mentioned that any agreement between Iran and Oman regarding passage through the Strait of Hormuz would be separate from the issue of the strait's closure.
