Master Chef Contestant Shares Childhood Dream With Judge

In an emotional moment on the reality cooking show "Master Chef: Dream Team," contestant Tair Mordoch will share a personal story with judge Michal Ansky about her kibbutz childhood and how she is fulfilling her own dreams through her daughters. Mordoch revealed that as a child, she dreamed of being like Ansky, who traveled the world and experienced diverse culinary environments with her parents, a stark contrast to Mordoch's own upbringing where her mother "didn't understand anything about food." Mordoch explained that her kibbutz kitchen left no impression on her, and she never learned to cook from family, stating, "No one taught me to cook, because the home was not a culinary home in any way." This experience has shaped her approach to motherhood, and she now prioritizes creating a warm, food-centric home for her own children. "It is extremely important to me that my daughters do sit at such a table," she said, describing how they cook Shabbat dinner together every Friday night. Mordoch views this shared cooking as a deep personal "correction," aiming to create lasting memories and a sense of home for her daughters that she lacked. "This is my correction, actually," she stated, hoping her daughters will one day taste food and associate it with her, a connection she never had. Mordoch is one of 12 returning contestants in the special "Dream Team" season, which offers fan favorites a second chance at the title. In a previous season, she shared a story about two friends who died in military service and her philosophy of living life to the fullest.
