200 New Haredi Recruits Begin Year at Pre-Military Preparatory Programs

Approximately 200 new Haredi recruits have started the academic year at the Haredi pre-military preparatory programs run by the Shomer Israel National Association for Haredi Service and the Netzach Yehuda organization. These young men are preparing for enlistment in various combat units, including the Netzach Yehuda Battalion in the Kfir Brigade, the Hasmonean Brigade, the Haredi 'Arrow' company in the Paratroopers Brigade, the Haredi company in the Border Police, and other combat units.

The year began with a challenging pilgrimage hike to Mount Meron, culminating in a prayer gathering at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai (Rashbi), aimed at providing spiritual strength for the recruits. One recruit, Yehuda, who joined the new combat preparatory program "Derech Emunah," expressed that the pilgrimage and prayer gave them immense spiritual power and affirmed their pride in serving and defending the people of Israel.

Yossi Levi, CEO of Shomer Israel and Netzach Yehuda, welcomed the new recruits and emphasized that their joining reflects a strong desire among Haredi youth to combine maintaining a Torah lifestyle with making a significant contribution to the country's security. He highlighted that the preparatory programs provide spiritual, physical, and mental support to ensure that future fighters arrive at their combat units well-prepared and proud of their identity and chosen path.
