Itamar Ben Gvir Demands NIS 100,000 from Gadi Eizenkot Over Incitement Claims

Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, through his lawyer, has sent a legal warning letter to Knesset member Gadi Eizenkot and his party. The letter demands compensation of 100,000 shekels, removal of a publication, and a public apology and denial within 72 hours. This legal action follows statements made by Eizenkot on a podcast where he accused certain politicians of spreading violent videos to youth with messages like "the only way is to kill" and "a good Arab is a dead Arab." Eizenkot then specifically referred to a "phenomenon called Itamar Ben Gvir," describing it as very disturbing and unsettling. The letter asserts that the allegations against Ben Gvir are completely false and that attributing incitement to murder, racism, violence, and bullying to him constitutes some of the most serious and defamatory claims possible. Ben Gvir's representatives warned that failure to comply within the given timeframe will result in legal proceedings without further notice.
