Apple Unveils Powerful New Mac Mini and Mac Studio with Advanced AI Chips

Apple has introduced two new Mac computers targeting different user groups but sharing a focus on significantly enhanced performance, especially for artificial intelligence tasks. The new Mac Mini features either the M6 or M5 Pro chip, maintaining its compact design but receiving major hardware upgrades. The M6 chip includes a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, offering up to 40% faster processing, double the graphics performance, quadruple AI capabilities, and is Apple's first 2-nanometer chip, marking a milestone in their chip manufacturing.

Alongside the M6, the Mac Mini can also be configured with the M5 Pro chip for users needing more professional-grade power. The Mac Studio, designed for high-demand users, comes with either the M5 Max or the new M5 Ultra chip. Apple positions the M5 Ultra as the top-tier Mac chip, optimized for heavy workloads such as software development, content creation, and running large AI models locally without relying on cloud services.

Pricing reflects the different target markets: the new Mac Mini starts at $899, while the Mac Studio begins at $2,499 and can reach $5,499 with the M5 Ultra configuration. Both models are available for pre-order now, with official release scheduled for September 22.
