Hapoel Tel Aviv is on the verge of signing Max Heidegger to a multi-year contract despite ongoing internal upheaval within the club's management. The team faces a significant obstacle as Heidegger previously signed an agreement with Bnei Herzliya in April during the conflict, which restricts him to playing only for Herzliya within Israel. Afterward, Heidegger moved to Burgos in Spain but now seeks to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, with Herzliya demanding compensation for his transfer. As part of the complex deal, Yiftach Ziv is expected to move to Herzliya, but until all parts of the agreement are finalized, Heidegger may be unable to play for Hapoel in the league. Herzliya intends to contest the transfer to prevent Heidegger from joining Dimitris Itoudis's team.

Behind the scenes, Hapoel Tel Aviv has undergone a significant management shakeup. Stav Saham was moved from the board to chairman, Oren Hasson transitioned from chairman to CEO in less than two months, and Tzachi Reichenstein, former CEO and close associate of Ofer Yanai for nearly three years, was dismissed amid power struggles. Despite the turmoil, the team, currently training in Bulgaria for the upcoming season, insists that the internal conflicts do not affect daily operations. A club insider stated that while last season's personnel are aware of the issues, the focus remains on progressing from one practice to the next without paying attention to the off-court distractions.
